14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft launched today the Romanian version of Office 2010, which will provide users new and flexible tools facilitating performance, whether it is at home, at school or at work.
Being available both online as well as on smartphones, Office 2010 really increases productivity, and it even redefines it, as Valentina Ion, Information Worker Business Group Lead, Microsoft Romania, says.

For all the curious out there, here are a few improvements of Office 2010, that allow performing tasks more rapidly and faster than before.
First of all, the File menu is replaced by the new Microsoft Office Backstage, and operations like Save, Print, Share and Publishing are centralized and easier to use.
The new Paste command has a real-time preview and improvements have been made in navigation, research and wiki, making resources finding faster.
Also, notes can be made in Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010 or Internet Explorer and associated with the information source.
Information can be found much more easily, by using the Navigation Panel in Word 2010, and thanks to the new co-author options, two or more people can look at the same document, at the same time, from different locations – this feature is available with Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010, OneNote 2010, OneNote and Excel Web App Web App.
The new PowerPoint 2010 allows Internet presentations in real time, and viewers will be able to see it at a very high quality, even without the software installed.
Video editing in PowerPoint will also be easier and no other software will be necessary.
Outlook 2010 also has major improvements that reduce information overload, thanks to Conversation View, features like Ignore, Quick steps and even the Reply or Delete option, available in only one click.
No more annoying phone calls to different offices to see if your colleagues are available, you now have Office Communicator for this, and if you really want, you can also make phone calls with it.
Microsoft Office 2010 applications suite has an online version, called the Office Online Web Apps, which allows access and editing from anywhere, as long as there is an Internet connection; you can also upload files on a SharePoint or on Windows Live SkyDrive.
Office 2010 will also be available on Windows Mobile, with a complete graphical interface. Microsoft Office Groove is now called the Workspace SharePoint 2010 and it pushes the limits of the SharePoint 2010 server content, as you will be able to edit documents even if you’re offline, the changes being synchronized at the first connexion.
The Romanian version of the Microsoft Suite 2010 is available in five editions, including Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition, Microsoft Office Home and Company Edition, Microsoft Office Professional, Microsoft Office Standard and Microsoft Office Professional Plus.
The new Office 2010 SKUs localized in Romanian can be purchased from major retail chains such as Carrefour, Domo, Media Galaxy, Real, Cora, Auchan, Metro and Selgros.
Also, stores like Carrefour in Baneasa, Auchan in Titan, Media Galaxy in Baneasa and Domo in Baneasa and in Cotroceni Palace will host the Office Days, September 7 to 12, during which all Office 2010 license buyers will have the chance of winning surprise prizes.
