Microsoft is very keen to continue its Bing It On challenge and convince people that Bing really is better than Google, but this time the company is even willing to offer several expensive prizes to attract more users.

The Bing It On campaign continues in Microsoft’s Stores and users who complete a blind side-by-side search comparison can also win several prizes, including a Windows 8 PC.

All you have to do is to go to your local Microsoft Store, take the challenge and pick one of the five search results displayed by Bing.

You can then become the lucky winner of a big box of prizes that includes a Windows 8 PC, Xbox 360 with Kinect and some free games, a Windows Phone, Office Home and Business 2010, a LifeCam Studio webcam and a Wireless N router.

According to Microsoft’s very own study, 64 percent of the people who took the Bing It On challenge were surprised with the quality of Bing’s search results, while 17 percent of them said that Google’s results have several problems.

But what’s more important is that 33 percent of the current Google users who apparently gave Bing a shot are ready to abandon their favorite search engine for Microsoft’s.

The new in-store campaign isn’t at all surprising, as the Redmond-based technology giant announced that its strategy to bring users to Bing would be continued with similar efforts in the near future.

“We are working very hard to continue improving the quality of our results (from web search to adding new useful information from your social networks), and to make the distinctions between Bing and Google clear so you can make an informed choice. This campaign is just the start,” said Mike Nichols, corporate vice president and chief marketing officer, Bing.
