A new service from Microsoft is designed to streamline migration of data into the Cloud for customers ready to make the jump to CRM Online. As a part of the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, the Redmond company already launched its Cloud-based version of the customer relationship management offering.

With the new Dynamics CRM Online Migration Service, the software giant is also ready to offer help to customers transitioning away from on-premise deployments.

The promise from Microsoft is that with “this service, a Microsoft Premier Field Engineer will:

- Work with you to determine data requirements

- Develop a migration strategy and identify proper tools and techniques to use during the data migration project

-Complete a test data migration to determine whether data mappings are correct

- Migrate your existing customer data to Dynamics CRM Online.”

The Dynamics CRM Online Migration Service is offered to customers by the Premier Field Engineering (PFE) team at Microsoft.

According to the team, the service is available to ensure that migrations to the Cloud are seamless and efficient.

The company emphasizes the fact that companies have unique Cloud migration needs, and that the Dynamics CRM Online Migration Service was built with this in mind.

“Microsoft has developed a service that will deliver a migration experience customized to your needs,” the company stated.

“The Migration Service will be delivered by a specially trained Dynamics Premier Field Engineer who guides you through the migration process.”

The PFE Dynamics team is always available for customers that have additional questions about the new service.

“The deliverables for this service will consist of a document which provides a detailed explanation of the steps taken to migrate your data to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and provides content on suggested requirements documents and readiness plans for your Information Technology resources,” the software giant added.
