Microsoft is working on several new Lumia phone models, and as we get closer to the public launch of Windows 10 Mobile, a moment that should bring us not only a new operating system but also several new devices bearing Redmond’s branding, new information on these devices unfolds.

This time, it looks like a new Lumia model has been spotted in official documents, and all signs point to Lumia 740, a phone that could hit the market in the lower mid-range industry.

Details are very scarce right now, and it’s hard to tell for sure whether this is the Lumia 740 or not, but NPU writes that Zauba documents reveal a new model that would be offered in two variants, with single SIM or dual SIM, which could have a price higher than the Lumia 640 XL.

This could be an indication that this might be the Lumia 740, an upgraded model that could arrive on the market in the coming months, either during the summer or together with Windows 10 Mobile in the fall.

The indicated price of this device is said to be at around $150 (€110), but this could vary by market and it’s definitely not final, as a lot could change until the phone sees daylight.

Flagships coming with Windows 10 Mobile

It’s pretty clear that Microsoft is preparing several new models for the next half of year, but all eyes are still on the flagships that the company could launch with Windows 10 Mobile.

Lumia 940 and 940 XL are both devices that are expected to ship when the new OS becomes available, as they’ll serve as the pioneers of the new operating system and demonstrate its full capabilities. Both models will come with the necessary hardware for all Windows 10 features, including Continuum for Phones, which would turn any phone model into a fully working PC with just a USB cable.
