One of the cheapest Windows Phone handsets available on the market has just gotten even cheaper. The Lumia 435, T-Mobile's version, is now available for purchase for just $50 outright.

Customers can pick this one up via Walmart for the price mentioned earlier. It's worth mentioning that Microsoft Store has the T-Mobile Lumia 435 listed for $70, which makes it a lot more expensive than Walmart's.

If you get Walmart's T-Mobile Lumia 435, keep in mind that you won't benefit from free shipping because the smartphone is actually priced at $49.88, and the Value shipping offer is only available for orders that total $50 or more.

Unveiled back in January, Microsoft Lumia 435 is an entry-level Windows Phone. The smartphone ships with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system right out of the box, but Microsoft confirmed the Lumia 435 will receive an upgrade to Windows 10 at some point.

Since this is an entry-level handset, customers shouldn't expect any fancy features. Still, even with its low spec sheet, Lumia 435 will be capable of running most of the apps and services you might throw at it.

It packs everything you need to run any apps and games

Unlike many other entry-level Windows Phone handsets, the Lumia 435 comes with 1GB of RAM, which is very important if you want to be able to play specific games or run high-demanding apps.

The smartphone is also equipped with a modest 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdtragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and 8GB of internal memory.

T-Mobile Lumia 435 comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB), and sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

On the back, the smartphone packs a 2-megapixel camera with video recording, while in the front there's a secondary VGA camera.

Even though the Lumia 435 does not offer 4G LTE support, it does come with 3G connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
