14 DAY TRIAL // As expected, Microsoft announced the upcoming availability of its dual-SIM Lumia 540 Windows Phone handset. The device is now available for pre-order for just Rs 10,199 ($160 / €140), and it should hit shelves on May 18.
The smartphone can be bought at multiple major retailers across the country, and Microsoft announced it partnered with some of them for special offers on Lumia 540 Dual SIM.
For example, customers who purchase the Lumia 540 Dual SIM via Aritel will receive double the data free for no less than 2 months, WMPU reports.
Then, the online wallet Paytm will offer a cashback worth Rs 1,000 ($16 / €14) on recharges made via the Paytm application (Rs 200 off every month for 5 months).
Furthermore, Ola will also offer customers that get the Lumia 540 Dual SIM cashback worth Rs 800 ($13 / €11) on Ola money recharges (Rs 200 cashback per recharge for the first four recharges of Rs 500 or higher).
Last but not least, those who get the Lumia 540 Dual SIM in India will receive 2 months of free subscription on Gaana.com, as well as unlimited music downloads.
5-inch display and quad-core Snapdragon 200 CPU
Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM is a budget-friendly smartphone that comes with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system right out of the box.
The handset sports a decent 5.0-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features ClearBlack technology.
On the inside, Lumia 540 Dual SIM is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
Also, the phone is packed with only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
