Microsoft's MSN division has begun the beta-testing program for version 7.5 of the MSN Messenger. MSN Messenger 7.0 has been launched in May, also embedding the access to MSN's new blogging service, MySpaces.

Version 7.0 also came with animations similar to those already offered by Yahoo's IM client, and it looks like MSN Messenger will also focus on changes of the interface. This version will introduce animated backgrounds, a modified sign-on screen and renamed buttons.

It looks like, initially, MSN Messenger will offer two such animated backgrounds, and at an ulterior moment will also offer some premium ones. Moreover, MSN Messenger 7.5 will also offer the possibility of recording 15-seconds long voice messages, but which will not be played automatically, the users having to press Play in order to listen to them.

Currently, MSN Messenger 7.5 has been sent to a small number of testers, other applications not being accepted for now.

MSN Messenger has currently reached version 7.0 build 816, and the latest innovation is the partnership with Vodafone, based on which the users who are also subscribing to this network can send messages directly to the persons using MSN's IM client.

MSN Messenger 7,5 build 160 can be downloaded here and the program has been certified by Softpedia as being100% Clean.
