Gears of War 2 is going to be a very big game for the Xbox 360 this holiday season. Promising to bring back the action packed, testosterone filled gameplay from the first title, it will definitely be a best seller. But if there's still money to be made, why not go that extra mile, asked Microsoft. And so it has done; it will soon launch a special edition Zune media player and a special red colored controller, both of them dated for November, when the game ships to stores.

Let's talk about the Zune first of all. It will be a special 120GB edition, with a custom Crimson Omen laser etched on its back. While the normal glossy back was prone to scratches, this version will be even cooler with the scratches it will gain, getting a grungier look. Also, this version will come preloaded with custom Gears of War 2 content, like tracks, artwork or behind the scenes videos. This player will also come in custom packaging, which resembles the cover art for the game. If these things got you interested, the product featuring them will hit the stores on November 7 for the price of 280 dollars. If you want to preorder, Walmart and Amazon are already waiting for you.

There isn't much to say about the controller. It was unveiled at E3 and captured the interest of a lot of people. Set to be launched on November 2, it will be right in time before the official release of the game, Microsoft offering gamers a special treat. It will also be bundled with a play-and-charge kit which will keep players gaming for a very long time. The launch schedule is a bit disappointing, the controller coming to every territory except for Europe.

All in all, Microsoft hasn't lost its touch in squeezing every last penny out of a game. But it's definitely clear that the GoW fans will buy almost anything related to the game.
