14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has made available the first upgrade for a solution designed to help administrators ensure that the organization they manage complies with IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) rules. Version 1.0 of the IT GRC Process Management Pack for System Center Service Manager was released at the end of September 2010, and now the Redmond company is introducing Service Pack 1.
In fact, System Center Service Manager customers leveraging the IT GRC Process Management Pack can head over to the Microsoft Download Center immediately and grab SP1 RTM, which was finalized on February 28th, 2011.
“The Microsoft IT GRC Process Management Pack SP1 for System Center Service Manager provides end-to-end compliance management and automation for desktop and datacenter computers,” the Redmond company explained.
“Integrated with Service Manager, the IT GRC Process Management Pack translates complex regulations and standards into authoritative control objectives and activities for the IT organization’s compliance program.”
Of course, getting IT GRC Process Management Pack SP1 for System Center Service Manager through the Download Center is just one option for customers.
According to Microsoft, IT professionals can also upgrade to Service Pack 1 through the tool itself.
But if they do head over to the Download Center, customers will be able to get additional resources including the Authoring Libraries for the SP1 release.
Microsoft is also offering the Release Notes, documentation and the Test IDSynch Tool along with the IT GRC Process Management Pack SP1 for System Center Service Manager downloads.
The promise from the software giant is that “the IT GRC Process Management Pack SP1 for System Center Service Manager—combined with the IT Compliance Management Series—helps customers understand and bind complex business objectives to their Microsoft infrastructure in an operationally efficient manner.”
