After a much-too-eager German online retail shop went live with details of the upcoming Arc Touch mouse from Microsoft Hardware, the software giant is now officially confirming the new device.

The latest details are live on the German flavor of the Microsoft Partner Program website, and a range of new pictures are also available, on top of those already revealed to the public, which Softpedia users have been able to read about here.

“High-quality design mouse for the home and on the road with innovative transport mechanism, 2.4 GHz wireless Technology with an ultra-compact Nano-transceiver new touch-scrolling function, more precise BlueTrack Technology and information, battery level indicator,” reads Microsoft’s description of the peripheral.

Bur fact is that nothing that Microsoft Hardware will unveil now about the Arc Touch mouse will be any surprise.

Especially, with all the details of the device that made it into the wild since the Redmond company first hinted that it was gearing up to release an new NUI capable device.

In Europe, the Arc Touch mouse will cost 69.99 Euros, and various sources are indicating that the device will feature a price tag of $69.99 in the US.

As you can see from the images accompanying this article, the Arc Touch mouse features the same stylish design as the original non-touch Arc mouse.

There are of course, new materials involved, a Cordless Freedom 2.4 GHz Nano-Transceiver, Touch Scrolling, etc.

According to Microsoft, these are the highlights of the new peripheral (via Google Translate):

“Design & Functionality: The elegant Arc Mouse Touch stretches like an Arch over the desk, while associated with a handle in the flat transport position can be and therefore to the full-size mouse for mobile use

• Wireless freedom with reliable 2.4 GHz wireless technology, battery life indicator and Nano ultra-compact transceiver that disappears when not in use in the battery compartment

The new Arc Touch mouse is designed to work with computers running Windows 7, but also earlier versions of Windows, such as Windows Vista and Windows XP.

Despite the fact that all the details on the device are already available to the public, Microsoft has yet to announce the Arc Touch mouse officially.
