Insiders will be provided with new testing builds soon

Windows 10 is projected to launch on July 29, and obviously, RTM will be reached even sooner, but despite the tight schedule, Microsoft is hard at work to bring not one, but several preview builds to insiders in the remaining days.

Gabriel Aul, the head of the Windows Insider program, has confirmed on Twitter - and he has thus pretty much ended speculation that the company might release just one more build of Windows 10 preview before RTM - that work on the new operating system continues and “likely several” flights should be released soon.

Needless to say, Aul hasn’t provided any other specifics, pretty much because work on Windows 10 is still in progress and bugs could make the company miss the date, so he’s playing the safe card and remaining tight-lipped for now.

New PC build very soon

There are many reports concerning the new preview build for PCs, and some people said that the company would launch one this week, but given the fact that it’s already Friday, today is the last day when this could actually happen.

The next week is definitely reserved to Windows 10 Mobile, as Microsoft is expected to ship a new preview build for phones in just a few days, which means that it’s either today or sometime next week, several days after the launch of the smartphone sibling.

Previously, Aul said that the Windows development team didn’t want to release new builds on Friday, but it already happened in the past, so with a little luck, this new version could arrive later today.

As far as the improvements that would be part of this new build are concerned, don’t expect anything major in terms of features and looks because the focus is now on performance and bug fixing before the big launch in late July. Microsoft has already confirmed that it’s now working to refine the Windows 10 experience, so don’t get your hopes too high on new features.
