Video game publisher and hardware manufacturer Microsoft has announced that it plans to release Fable III on the PC at some unspecified point in the future and that Age of Empires Online is still in development but has also unveiled plans for new releases on the Xbox Live and on its Windows 7 powered series of phones.

Fable III was initially set to arrive on the PC as the same time as it launched on the Xbox 360 home console, but the two versions of the action adventure game were decoupled during August 2010 and recently the company has kept quiet about the state of development.

Studio Lionhead, which has created the game, has hinted that development is pretty close to being done but has also suggested that any official announcement would be coming directly from Microsoft.

Microsoft has also announced that, on February 16, it will begin its second Xbox Live Arcade House Party with the launch of Hard Corps: uprising, a two dimensional side scrolling shooter from Konami, which will be followed by other titles over the coming five weeks, including House Poker, Bejeweled Blitz Live, coming with support for 16 player party mode, Beyond Good and Evil, with High Definition graphics, and Torchlight, with better control scheme and new items.

Microsoft also talked about Age of Empires Online, the strategy title which is set to arrive under the free to play model on the PC, saying that it is still being worked on but mentioning no beta or launch date.

Those who cannot wait to play more Fable can get the Coin Gold game which is released under the brand on Windows 7 phones, allowing fans to play traditional pub games and then earn gold and unlock new abilities for the characters they are playing on the Xbox 360 and, hopefully, on the PC.
