7 days: problem gets evaluated by Xbox support in India-machine goes to Texas to get fixed-comes back to you

Can I get an Amen on "Microsoft has the worst warranty policy?" If you are the proud owner of an Xbox 360 console, then you should know what lies ahead if it doesn't work properly. Latest reports coming from bloggers say that if you have a broken machine and decide to send it for repair, you'll benefit from Microsoft's stinking warranty policy that involves three road-trips for the machine, straps and boxes and a lot of fuss, before it comes back to you, safe and sound in perfect working condition? or not.

Whatever the problem, whether the loading trey got stuck or the hard drive got busted, it will take up to seven days just to reach Xbox support in India for then to come back with the acknowledgment of the problem and only after that can you send it in a tightly strapped box to Texas for repair. Can you say that doesn't stink? Didn't think so.

Remember the "Big Box Project" that guy thought of? Great idea to try out now huh? Microsoft surely needs a taste of its own medicine. How do big companies always mess up on such small issues? Sony never cut the price on its PS3 because they still have to cover manufacturing costs for Blu-ray diodes, bad start on launch due to lack of titles and the PS3's controller, which everyone expected to be at least as good as before (PS one and PS2), doesn't even have force-feed-back and now they're trying to fix that too.

Microsoft are just behind them concerning how many problems they had to face with bad functionality of their machines, lacking components (power cords, controllers or memory cards) that normally should have been found in the box and of course, the all-time winner "Warranty." I've never heard anyone complain as much about a Nintendo console, have you?
