Microsoft has recently released into the wild a new service for its users, one that is called Bing and which replaces the company's search engine, reshaping the idea of the service and pushing it to a new level by naming it a “decision engine.” According to the company, Bing can offer a leveraged experience to anyone who uses it, generating better results than before, increased relevancy, a reorganization of the search results and other more features.

And since during the past few months the company has showed that it is focused on offering a leveraged experience to the users of its Windows Mobile operating system, it released a Bing for Mobile decision engine as well, which comes with its own set of features and functionalities to make mobile phone users rejoice.

What the new service offers users includes the possibility to quickly find great local shops and restaurants, complete with ratings, reviews, hours and directions, the possibility to see movie show times and call to buy a ticket, or to do a product search to see if you’re getting a fair price when trying to buy something, not to mention the latest local weather forecasts that are delivered directly to the handset.

The feature list of the service also shows that it can provide interactive maps with turn-by-turn driving directions, can help you save time with maps that show current traffic conditions, offers point-to-point walking directions in case you are not in a car, delivers quick, relevant answers to your questions about local listings, celebrities, and weather, and also allows you to create a mobile dashboard with stocks, traffic, weather, and movies.

Those who have used Live Search before already know that the service includes various vertical “decision-making” subcategories, such as shopping, travel, healthcare, Virtual Earth maps and local. For what it’s worth, Bing seems in a way very attractive on the desktop computer, but many are looking forward to trying it on a mobile phone as well in the near future, for it might indeed deliver a brand new experience than what competing solutions were able to provide up until now.
