It looks like Indian OEM Micromax plans to launch another interesting Android smartphone in India, the EG111. The device has yet to be confirmed by the Indian company, so take the following with a grain of salt until more details emerge online.

According to Gadgets to Use, Micromax’s EG111 will be available in India soon for a price that will be disclosed close to launch. Still, judging by the phone’s specs, it won’t cost more than Rs 15,000 ($240 / €175) outright.

As far as we know, the EG111 will offer users the possibility to receive small payments by watching ads, something that Micromax has done before with the Canvas Mad A94. However, we’re not certain whether or not this feature will be integrated within EG111 and to what degree.

More importantly, Micromax EG111 will offer users dual SIM with support for both GSM and CDMA networks. In addition, the handset will be equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor.

No word on amount of memory and storage, but according to the cited source, Micromax EG111 boasts a large 5.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, which will probably be another selling point of the smartphone.

It is also worth mentioning that the EG111 will be launched in India in partnership with major carrier Tata Docomo. The information seems accurate, given Micromax and Tata Docomo’s history.

Android fans in India probably remember that the Micromax EG333 was launched in partnership with Tata Docomo about three years ago, so it’s clearly possible that the EG111 will be released by the same carrier.

No other details on the Micromax EG111 are available for the moment, but the smartphone is expected to be officially introduced in India sometime next week. We will keep an eye out for any additional details, so stay tuned for more info on the handset’s availability and pricing options.
