Indian OEM Micromax has just release yet another Android smartphone in the country, the Canvas Fire 3. Judging from the specs and price, this is a mid-range device that has one thing that many other smartphones in the same category lack.

Micromax Canvas Fire 3 comes with dual-front speakers, just like some of the high-end smartphones in the HTC One series. Besides that, the smartphone has nothing else inside that would set it apart from other devices in the same price range.

Speaking of which, the Canvas Fire 3 is now available for purchase in India via major retailer Saholic for just Rs 6,499 outright, which is about $100 or €90. The smartphone is only available in Black color for the moment, fonearena notes.

Unfortunately, Micromax was only able to put Android 4.4 KitKat operating system inside, which is a bit disappointing since Google has already announced Android M that's supposed to be released this fall.

It comes with dual-SIM support and 3G connectivity

Anyway, the rest of the phone's specs seem decent enough, as Micromax Canvas Fire 3 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the inside, the phone is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The Canvas Fire 3 offers dual-SIM support and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There's also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front for video calls.

Last but not least, Micromax's mid-range smartphone is powered by a 1,850 mAh battery and comes preloaded with various apps and services, including Opera Browser, Swiftkey, Hike, Clean Master, Snapdeal, TrueCaller and more.
