14 DAY TRIAL // Micromax is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in India and the company is known for unleashing smartphone after smartphone at the speed of light. And the next product that will be coming out under the company’s banner will be a phablet.
If you followed Micromax’s moves on the smartphone market, you probably know that the company rolled out the Doodle 3 A102 last year, and in 2015 we’re going to see its successor arrive on the market.
According to information released by Mahesh Telecom, the new phone will probably be a mid-range phablet that will come equipped with a stylus too. So if you don’t have enough cash to purchase one of Samsung’s premium Galaxy Note phones, Micromax’s new Doodle phone might be a decent alternative.

However, you shouldn’t expect to see the same high-end specs onboard of the Canvas Doodle 4 Q391. The leak tells us that the phone will arrive with a huge 6-inch display with 720p resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass on top for protection.
The juice will come from an unnamed quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, but we’d have to guess that Micromax has partnered up with MediaTek for this one. There’s also 1GB of RAM and just 8GB of built-in storage, but luckily users will be able to expand to 32GB via microSD card slot.
In the photography department, we find an 8MP main camera and a 2MP selfie shooter up in front. The phone also offers dual SIM services and comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. 4G LTE connectivity is also onboard.
According to the carrier, Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 Q391 will soon go on sale (date unknown) for around $143 / €131, which is pretty affordable for a device that big.
The phone is pretty similarly specced to the LG G4 Stylus that offers a 5.7-inch display with 720p resolution and draws power from a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage.
We don’t have a price for the LG G4 Stylus just yet, but it’s highly unlikely it will be cheaper than the new Canvas Doodle, which is already listed with eBay India.
