14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Micromax has made a new smartphone in its Canvas series official, one that comes with enhanced music capabilities, namely the A88 Canvas Music.
The new device will land on shelves with a pre-loaded MLive app, offering unlimited song downloads, and will feature a price tag of only INR 8,499 ($155 / €120).
Furthermore, the mobile phone maker announced that the new handset would be launched with a bundled JBL Tempo Headset, which should boost the music listening experience, AndroidOS reports.
“At Micromax, we are continuously channelizing our energies to innovate finest devices that are relevant to our customers,” Ajay Sharma, country head smartphone division, Micromax, said.
“Canvas Music A88 coupled with JBL headset and unlimited songs download via MLive! application serves as a perfect offering to the youth echoing our vision of providing a fulfilling entertainment experience to all the music and multimedia lovers.”
The new mobile phone arrives on the market with a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display capable of delivering an 854 x 480 pixel resolution, as well as with a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor packed inside.
Furthermore, the smartphone will boast 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, while also featuring a microSD memory card slot so that users could expand the available storage space.
On the back, the new Micromax A88 Canvas Music sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with dual-LED flash and video recording capabilities, complemented by a front camera for making video calls while on the go.
The specifications list of the new handset also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, 3G connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. It runs under Google's Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Featuring an 1800 mAh battery inside, the new mobile phone should land on the market in Black and White color flavors. Micromax has also announced that A88 Canvas Music is set to become available for purchase in India as soon as tomorrow through all major retail stores.
