Micromax A116 Canvas HD is one of the most popular Android smartphones this time around. Unfortunately, it’s also the hardest to get.

The phone was initially launched in India back in February, but it was sold out 15 minutes after it had gone on sale online at Snapdeal.

However, the retailer continued to take orders for Micromax A116 Canvas HD, even though the smartphone was not available in stock anymore.

Soon Micromax had a large backlog of orders that needed to be fulfilled in the coming days. No less than 5,000 orders had yet to be shipped.

The Indian company announced several days later that the second shipment of A116 Canvas HD units would arrive in mid-March and that all the orders placed at Snapdeal would be fulfilled.

Well, the second shipment of Micromax A116 Canvas HD devices was delayed for late March, Micromax announced two weeks ago, so those who had ordered the smartphone had to wait a bit longer.

Today, AndroidOS reports that Micromax has finally received the long-awaited shipment of A116 Canvas HD units, so those 5,000 customers should receive their devices any day now.

The rest of the units in this shipment have been spread to various Indian retailers, including Infibeam and UniverCell.

The smartphone is also expected to arrive in brick and mortar stores over the weeks, though there’s no telling how many units each location will have in stock.

The bad news is that both Infibeam and UniverCell have sold all the Micromax A116 Canvas HD units they have received.

The former is already showing on its online store that the phone is sold out, while the latter claims that it can only ship the A116 Canvas HD in 15 working days.

That basically means that there are no Micromax A116 Canvas HD units in stock and the retailer has to wait until the next shipment arrives. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
