Micromax is a well-known Indian company that sells Android smartphones and tablets. Obviously, the company does not manufacture its own devices, instead, all shipments come directly from China where most Micromax-branded products are manufactured.

The last major product launched by Micromax, the A116 Canvas HD sold out in less than 30 minutes since it went on sale at Snapdeal retailer.

Apparently, Micromax wasn’t prepared for such a high demand and had to order a second shipment of units just to fulfill all orders taken after the smartphone was sold out.

Well, it looks like the Indian company plans to launch another Canvas series smartphone, which is likely to be officially unveiled in the coming weeks.

Dubbed Micromax A115 Canvas 3D, the smartphone has been recently leaked via MMXNewscaster and is rumored to be in the final stages of development.

According to the cited source, the A115 Canvas 3D will boast a large 5.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with 3D support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Micromax A115 Canvas 3D will also come packed with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, the device is said to sport an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while on the front, there’s a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

Last but not least, the A115 Canvas 3D will be powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and will come packed with 3D Imaging and Playback technology.

In the same piece of news, Micromax is also rumored to launch a sequel to the highly acclaimed A116 Canvas HD smartphone.

The phone is called Micromax A120 Canvas 3 and is said to sport a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD capacitive touchscreen display, a 13-megapixel rear camera. Software-wise, the device will be powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
