Report says singer was in acceptable health, save for minor exceptions

Despite reports that have been surfacing in the media for the past several years, Michael Jackson was in good health when he died of an overdose on Propofol in June this year. He was thin, but not too much so for his height, he had a strong heart and did not have any alcohol or illegal drugs in his stomach, autopsy results indicate, as The Guardian informs.

The singer’s autopsy was completed a little over a month ago, but the document in itself was not made public at the time. More details included in have surfaced the other day, indicating that, no matter what tabloids and so-called “friends” told the tabloids, Michael was a healthy man. The only things that afflicted him were arthritis, lung inflammation and vitiligo, the skin condition that has generated so much speculation these past years.

“The previously unreleased document confirms earlier reports that Jackson had puncture marks on his arms. The singer also had mild arthritis and lung damage, which may have left him short of breath. But the new report underlines that none of these issues was life-threatening. Besides much-publicized cosmetic surgery, the report states that Jackson had tattooed eyebrows, lips, and a dark tattoo across the top of his balding head. Yet he was fit and well-fed. At 5'9" (175cm), the singer's 136lb (62kg) weight was within doctors’ ‘acceptable’ range.” The Guardian says.

Michael also had scars on his face and neck, which were most likely the results of the many surgical interventions he had undergone throughout the years. The black tattoo on his head is believed to have been made to hide the permanent scarring left after the 1984 incident, when his head caught fire while shooting for a Pepsi commercial. Other scars also included one on his knee, probably caused by a surgical intervention for medical reasons, the same report reveals.

“His remaining hair, according to the report, was short and tightly-curled. The singer also had depigmentation of the skin around his face, chest, abdomen and arms, corroborating reports that he suffered from vitiligo. The autopsy report also details medical efforts to revive Jackson. Paramedics cracked the singer’s ribs during CPR, and a machine called a balloon pump was inserted into his chest as they attempted to jumpstart his heart.” The Guardian further says.
