Six weeks after the tragic and sudden death of King of Pop Michael Jackson, his body has finally been laid to rest during a secret ceremony to which no fan and no media representative had access, or knowledge of for that matter. Michael was buried at a secret location in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park cemetery in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills that is unknown even to cemetery staff, the British tabloid the Mirror claims.

Though the story has not yet received any kind of confirmation from the Jackson family, it has already spread on the Internet like wild fire, since the possibility of Michael being laid to rest quietly, without letting the media know about it beforehand, has been subject to speculation ever since the memorial service at LA’s Staples Center was held. However, sources close to the family, says the Mirror, can confirm that the late singer has been buried at last, after his brain was reunited with his body last week.

“The King of Pop was quietly buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Hollywood Hills – without even a small ceremony and not a fan in sight. And last night it emerged his family are so worried his army of followers will descend on the grave they have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep the exact location secret. Relatives are even considering moving Jacko’s body if security becomes an issue. A cemetery source said: ‘Michael has already been laid to rest, but other than the Jackson family and the management at Forest Lawn, no one knows the exact spot’.” the Mirror writes.

The burial spot is such a secret, explains the tab, that not even cemetery staff know where it is situated exactly, but speculation has it is somewhere near the place where Michael’s grandmother was laid to rest in 1990. The extra measures for secrecy are necessary, the tab adds, because the family fears fans would gather and perhaps even deface the grave if they ever got wind of where Michael was laid. Because of this, sources claim, the Jacksons have already though of four other alternatives, in case the location of the exact spot leaks to the media.

“Staff at the cemetery have been fed several different locations, it’s as if they are hoping to confuse everyone so it can’t leak out. The fear is that thousands of Jackson fans will descend on the cemetery and create a security issue or maybe even damage or deface the grave.” an unnamed but reportedly extremely reliable source tells the Mirror. The alternate locations the body might be moved to if security becomes a problem are said to include Neverland, a mausoleum in Gary, Indiana, and a memorial site in Las Vegas.
