14 DAY TRIAL // As Michael Jackson is now on route to the greatest comeback in the history of music, talk of his personal life is also becoming more intense. While last week word had it that he was planning on getting more plastic surgery in preparation for “This Is It,” now he’s reportedly taking the first legal steps towards adopting a child from the UK, as DigitalSpy can confirm.
As all fans known, Michael Jackson already has three children and, given his reclusive life, is unlikely to father another one. So, the next option for him is to adopt a baby, an option he has reportedly already considered and deemed the most convenient. Moreover, unlike in the US, in Britain, he would get full support from the public for the adoption, which is yet another argument that weighs heavily in the balance, unnamed but allegedly reliable sources say for the aforementioned publication.
“His life is his children. Wherever he goes, they go, and he has said it would be good to have another child. Contact has been made with an adoption agency in Britain which has a very good reputation.” one such source tells.
The spy also adds that, because of the reception his comeback tour enjoyed with the fans, Michael feels confident that the British public will not turn on him because of his decision, like it would do back in the States. He also feels like he can put the child abuse allegations and trial behind him, and go on with his life and a fresh new start.
If this report is accurate, though, it would come in sharp contradiction with another one, also circulated recently, which had it that Michael was dying and seeking to provide for his three children by handing them over to his sister Janet. Admittedly, this way, Jackson was looking to allow the kids to live their life as normal children, away from the spotlight – a thing Janet Jackson knows how to do only too well.
“Michael feels the end is near. He’s terrified that if he dies, his children will end up with his aging parents or his brothers. He knows that Janet will give his kids a mother’s love and see that they grow up away from the showbiz spotlight. Michael is in bad shape. He has respiratory problems, heart palpitations, is losing weight rapidly and now he is worried that he may have contracted a killer flesh-eating disease. He has begged Janet to look after the kids.” The National Enquirer wrote a while back, citing sources close to Michael Jackson.
