The AP832 has dual-802.11ac radios and is three times better than 802.11n alternatives

I've written about quite a few dual-band / dual-radio wireless routers, access points, bridges and whatever else, but Meru may have just broken every speed record those things ever set.

And it's all because it designed the AP832 access point with two 5 GHz radios, instead of one at 2.4 GHz and one at 5 GHz.

Thus, with each radio sending and receiving data at 1.3 Gbps, that makes for a total of 2.6 Gbps.

Compared to 802.11n access points, that's up to three times better.

What's more, the 802.3af power makes costly Ethernet switch upgrades unnecessary.

Device performance will vary based on their own capabilities of course, but customers have so far reported an increase of up to 30% compared to their feats on 802.11n devices. Sadly, no price is known yet.
