Brian Stelter’s new book, “Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV,” has been making a lot of headlines and getting a lot of people interested, but Meredith Vieira, former co-anchor on The Today Show, has no intention of reading it.

If anything, she says for Page Six, people should just forget about what happened when Ann Curry was fired from the show last year.

She’s “over it” and viewers at home should also just move on. However, Vieira adds, Matt Lauer is the one who’s really suffering here.

“I don’t want to get on a high horse, because I understand why people write it. I’m not trying to say he’s wrong to do it, but I look at it and it’s so personal to me. It’s my friends,” she says.

“Even if [NBC] blew it from a p.r. point of view, you’ve got to move on. I think what is happening to Matt is really wrong,” Vieira adds.
