Atari and Ignition Entertainment bring news that Mercury Meltdown will be coming to the PlayStation 2 some time in November. Besides the familiar gameplay, The Mercury Meltdown Remix promises to bring a host of exclusive new features, detailed graphics and the chance to play on the big screen for the very first time.

In the game, you take control of a mercury blob which you have to guide through a series of intricate levels, all the while avoiding various obstacles and hazards to reach the end goal. As a novelty, the Mercury blob now has 4 varying states - Normal, Solid, Fast and Slow - that allow for larger, more complex levels, for those who enjoy a challenge.

Features:

- Over 200 levels - Bonus features to unlock, including hidden labs, two of which are exclusive to the PlayStation 2 - Specular Lighting and special effects - Dual analog control with Rumble feedback - State of the art blob physics - Fairer game progression - Tutorial Mode

"Mercury Meltdown Remix builds upon the solid foundation of the PSP? version, and offers the gamer some unique and exclusive extras," said Peter Rollinson, Product Manager, Ignition Entertainment Ltd. "Mercury Meltdown Remix is the most accessible Mercury game yet."
