Storage capacity of 4.7GB, up to 120 minutes of video in SP mode

Memorex announced new additions to its famous LightScribe recordable media offering, including 16X DVD+R LightScribe media., according to Hardware News.

This kind of media, available now in a package of 10 discs, was created to record home movies, safeguarding important data, archiving images and creating multimedia presentations as the write-once disc has a storage capacity of 4.7GB, meaning that you can record up to 120 minutes of video in SP mode.

In addition, Memorex 16X DVD+R LightScribe media offers stunning, laser-etched designs right on the disc surface, featuring ?perfect quality? disc prints. Because of the embedded LightScribe Media Version 1.2 technology, the new media are able to produce faster label creation than first generation LightScribe DVDs, as Memorex was one of the very first media brands to offer LightScribe CD and DVD recording media on the American retail market.

Using Memorex LightScribe DVDs and a LightScribe-enabled drive, users can simply burn the data side of the disc as usual, then flip the disc over and use the same drive to burn a custom label with their desired text and graphics.

Using this new Memorex LightScribe media and a LightScribe-enabled computer drive, users will be able to create graphics and text, photo labels, and inscribe the designs directly onto the scratch-resistant discs.

Current users of LightScribe drives will be able to update the old version in order to take advantage of the advanced features of LightScribe Media Version 1.2.

Memorex 16X DVD+R media with LightScribe Media Version 1.2 is now available in a package of 10 for a suggested retail price of US$9.99. Memorex will also be adding LightScribe Version 1.2 technology to its LightScribe CDs, available in packages of 10 and 20 for an SRP of US$11.99 and US$14.99, respectively.
