14 DAY TRIAL // Not only did Mel Gibson lash out at his now-ex-girlfriend on January 6 and knocked out two of her front teeth and left her bruised, but he also admits he did so on a tape that has recently surfaced. Radar Online has heard the taped conversation and it vouches that the actor and director admits to Oksana Grigorieva that he hit her twice across the face – but says she deserved it.
The scandal broke a short while ago, when word got out in the media that Gibson had filed the papers for a restraining order against Oksana, with whom he has a 7-month daughter but whom he’s no longer dating. Shortly afterwards, it emerged that it was the Russian singer who actually wanted protection from the actor, on the claims that he had been violent to her on at least one occasion. Even worse, she had proof: tapes, medical records and photos of the injuries sustained during the argument.
“Now, Radar Online is revealing even more content from the tape and this time Mel admits to hitting Oksana twice in the face while she was holding their baby daughter Lucia. On tape, a teary Oksana is heard asking Mel, ‘What kind of a man is that who would hit a woman when she is holding a child in her hands, hitting her twice in the face? What kind of a man is that?’ the Russian musician repeats. The Braveheart star responds: ‘You know what – you [expletive]-ing deserved it.’ Radar Online has heard the tape,” the publication says.
This is the latest development in a court battle that has already been dragging for quite some time. As we also noted the other day, not only did Oksana tape Mel as he hurled insults at her, but she also made sure she had photographic evidence of the injuries he inflicted on her. The purpose of gathering all these pieces of evidence was not to get money from him, as skeptics may believe, but precisely to do what she’s doing now: seek protection for herself and her daughter when she fears their lives are endangered.
“You can see Oksana’s two main front teeth were broken and there are bruises all over her face. They [the photos] will come out eventually and she is prepared to use them in their court case. Oksana was scared to death to go to the cops. Any battered woman is... most women never speak out and suffer years,” an unnamed friend was telling the media about the photos that have yet to be unearthed, as we also reported.
