Mel B, real name Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice of the Spice Girls, got off on the wrong foot with audiences on her very first day as judge on the new panel on America’s Got Talent, it has emerged.

The singer, with Heidi Klum, Howard Stern and Howie Mandel will judge hopefuls on the new season of the show, whose auditions stage kicked off the other day.

For Mel, it did so on a sour note, TMZ reports: she was booed.

“Mel was in New Orleans Monday, along with Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and Heidi Klum. The first act of the day was Lagniappe, a very popular New Orleans brass band,” the e-zine says.

“Mel told the band... she's not a fan of brass music. Bad move in The Big Easy. The audience went nuts on her, screaming ‘Go home,’ and ‘No respect’,” adds the same media outlet.

Mel was visibly upset and turned to Howie for comfort, the report adds.
