Handsome actor Mekhi Phifer, best known for his roles on “ER” and “8 Mile,” is officially off the market, having married his longtime girlfriend Reshelet Barnes in a beautiful and intimate ceremony over the weekend.

Photos of the happy bride and groom during the ceremony have already emerged online.

Even if they are not official wedding photos but merely aerial paparazzi shots, they still offer a good look at the bride and groom – and, if you’re into fashion, a very good look at the wedding gown as well.

E! News has more details about the ceremony, reporting that it was a relatively small one.

“The actor, best known for playing Dr. Greg Pratt on ER, said ‘I do’ to Reshelet Barnes on Saturday in Beverly Hills, Calif., at the Montage Hotel,” the celebrity publication writes.

“The couple made it official on an outdoor terrace in front of 100 family and friends, including Mekhi's son, who walked down the aisle with an adorable Chihuahua on a leash!” adds the same media outlet.

The groom walked out on Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky” and the bride, as expected, on “Here Comes the Bride,” in what was a very emotional moment, bringing tears to the eyes of the audience – the groom included.

“When she made her entrance into the courtyard, Mekhi was completely overcome with emotion and you could tell she took his breath away. He had to wipe tears from his eyes for several minutes,” an insider says for the publication.

“The ceremony lasted a sweet 15 minutes as they exchanged rings and participated in a sand ceremony beneath an altar of yellow flowers. The union concluded with a standing ovation from the crowd,” E! writes.

The publication does not offer more details about the reception afterwards but, considering that the two strove to keep all wedding details under wraps, it would be surprising if they gave a wedding exclusive to some magazine with photos and interviews, as celebrities are inclined to do these days.
