There's some excitement when it comes to the release of the Meizu M8, also known as the iPhone clone, and let's face it, something that was cloned after the iPhone will most likely grab a little spot among the interesting devices of the year, right?

There are differences of course, like the fact that the Meizu runs Windows Mobile, and now that an official announcement has been made, the price seems to be quite different as well.

As strange as it may sound for some, Meizu CEO Mr, Wong has posted some more details regarding the phone on a forum revealing that the M8 will come in two versions, an entry-level version, without the camera and a standard version.

The Entry Model will have a price of ?100 for 4GB/?140 for 8GB, while the Standard will be available at ?150 for 4GB/ ?200 for 8GB. The pricing in USD approximates $195, $285, $310 and $400 respectively.

Which means that it is clearly a cheaper alternative to the iPhone. It also looks like users who get the camera-less version will later be able to upgrade by separately buying a camera add-on. There are several users out there who never use the camera in a mobile phone, and now with the choice Meizu provides, they'll be able to get a camera-less version for a smaller price.

Also, the 3.32 inch 16-bit display with a 720 x 480 pixel resolution has finally been confirmed. In the end, Meizu really isn't an iPhone, but it is cheaper, has a better screen and will appeal more to the ones that want a Windows Mobile powered device.
