Chinese company Meizu launched its M2 Note phablet earlier this month and promised that the device would be available for purchase in mid-June.

True to its promise, the Meizu M2 Note went on pre-order today, but only in China. Customers in the Mainland can pre-order the smartphone for just $173.99 (€155), but a M2NOTE coupon allows them to get it cheaper ($169/€150) at GearBest, PhoneArena reports.

The M2 Note is expected to arrive in other Asian countries soon, including India. However, an exact date for its availability outside China has not been provided yet.

Meizu's latest Android smartphone is a great deal for those who can't afford flagship devices but still want to own a high-end handset.

This is Meizu's first smartphone to ship with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, and one of the few to be available on the market at this price range.

If you are now intrigued about what Meizu's smartphone can possibly offer for this price, then you should know that it offers quite a lot.

Dual-SIM support and octa-core CPU inside

The M2 Note sports a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution with 450 nits and 1000:1 contrast ratio.

On the inside, the smartphone is packed with a more than decent 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.

As expected, the M2 Note offers dual-SIM dual-standby support and comes with a large 3,100 mAh battery inside.

Last but not least, Meizu's cheap phablet boasts an impressive 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

Keep in mind that, while the Meizu M2 Note is now available for pre-order in China, shipping won't commence until July 5.
