14 DAY TRIAL // It's been only a day since the first details on Meizu's M2 Note phablet leaked online and the Chinese company has started to tease the upcoming announcement.
The company recently published a teaser image with the tagline “Home button revolution,” which shows the rounded Home button of a previous Meizu smartphone and a question mark on the upcoming M2 Note, which suggests that the handset maker plans something completely new.
For the time being, it's unclear whether Meizu will put another type of Home button on its M2 Note or it may announce a new functionality, or a combination of the two.
We will probably get a few more teasers by the time M2 Note goes official, but until then here is a quick recap of its specs that leaked a few days ago.
The sequel to the popular Meizu M1 Note will come with a 5.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
A decent mid-range smartphone that should offer a few surprises
According to rumors, the M2 Note will be equipped with a powerful 64-bit octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor, which is complemented by a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The handset is also said to pack microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
On the back, Meizu M2 Note should feature a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording, while in the front there should be a 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.
The smartphone will offer dual-SIM support, along with many other connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
Last but not least, Meizu M2 Note will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system onboard, along with the latest version of Flyme UI on top.
Meizu M2 Note will be officially unveiled on June 2 in Beijing, China. We expect to get more details on availability and pricing options during the event, so stay tuned.
