Megan Fox left the “Transformers” franchise after two films, and has been replaced by British model Rosie Huntington-Whitley. Director Michael Bay has recently revealed it was Steven Spielberg who asked him to fire Fox.

As fans must know, before she was dropped from the franchise, one of the biggest of our times, there was a lot of buzz in the media about how Megan compared Bay to Hitler, saying she wanted to be him on sets of his films.

She later apologized for offending him in such a public fashion (she made the comments during an interview) and Bay himself stressed that no damage had been done.

Shortly after, word got out that she was out of the upcoming “The Dark of the Moon,” the third installment – so many assumed it was because of the Hitler comment.

In a recent interview cited by the Daily Mail, Bay confirms that this was precisely the case, though the decision did not come from him, but rather from Spielberg, who acts as producer on “Transformers.”

“Fox had tried to claim she left the third in the series of the films to pursue other acting opportunities. But ahead of the July 4 premiere of Transformers 3 director Bay has revealed for the first time he was told to get rid of the actress,” the Mail writes.

Admittedly, Spielberg heard Fox’s comment and was so upset with her that he immediately asked Bay to fire her.

“You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now,” Bay is quoted as saying.

Indeed, some speculation making the rounds earlier on did say that Megan probably lost the part because of the Hitler comment, but since Bay told the press he wasn’t upset by it, that theory was soon dropped.

Useless to point out, if the above is true, Fox has made a very big and powerful enemy in Spielberg, word in the blogosphere has it.
