Capcom has released Mega Man 9 for WiiWare, the download service for users of the Nintendo Wii, and curious users quickly looked through the manual to discover that the game is already planned to receive five content packs via DLC.

Mega Man 9 is seen as a remaining of the series that plans to retain the look of the original games, without updating the graphics or the gameplay mechanics. It's set to mainly appeal to gamers that are interested in classic 2D games.

Capcom has already laid out the DLC for October and there might be more in store for those who bought Mega Man 9. The game is just 10 dollars, so Capcom will be looking to boost its profits by adding more and more interesting stuff that you can get via DLC.

October 6 is supposed to be the release date for the Endless Atack DLC which will cost 300 Wii Points and will challenge gamers to play on a stage which apparently has no end and where the winner is the guy who manages to go the farthest. Proto Man mode will arrive on the same date, for 200 Wii Points, and will allow players to experience the whole game as enemy turned ally of Mega Man Proto Man, who has slightly tweaked abilities which will improve the replay value of the release.

A set of three pieces of DLC will arrive on October 20, for 100 Wii Points each. Hero Mode is designed to make the game more challenging for those who have already mastered it, Superhero Mode adds an extra level of difficulty only for hardcore players while Special Stage brings another Time Attack stage with a unique new end Boss.

At the moment, the only announced DLC for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of the game is the Proto Man pack but the other will probably be announced soon.
