Just in case you haven’t grown tired already of hearing about yet another freshly launched small-sized portable computer system (or netbook system, in fewer words) that comes powered by Intel's Atom processor, then we might have something for you. How about a netbook that hasn't been built as another MSI Wind clone and that comes with a 7-inch factor, much like the first Eee PCs that were launched back in 2007.

The Netbook SurfOne INOS1B comes as an alternative to all those 9-inch and 10-inch netbooks that provide the computing power of Intel's highly successful Atom CPU. Spotted by the guys over at EeePC on website Rue du Commerce, this 7-inch portable computer system is equipped with an INGENICA JZ4730 processor running at a cool 400MHz. Now, we know the processor on this thing might not be the talk of the town, but it looks like the makers of this netbook are confident it will deliver the necessary performance required by such a computer system.

The other available specifications include a storage space of 2GB, integrated stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, 128MB of internal memory, Ethernet, SD card reader and a battery that is said to provide 3 hours of life. As you might have expected, the operating system is based on Linux and, according to the French-language website, where the SurfOne is listed, users will also get a carrying case to go with it.

Now, for a netbook that offers a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, the price tag attached to it is more than affordable, being set at €189.99, or approximately US$258. However, deciding whether you want to adventure buying and even using one of these systems is entirely up to you, especially since there's no user review for it, at least not at this time. Before you go ahead and buy such a netbook, be sure to check the latest prices on the Eee PC Surf, which is at least tested and proven.
