Ronnie and Donnie Galyon, featured in the photos accompanying this article, are now the oldest conjoined twins to have ever been documented anywhere in the world.

Thus, it was on October 28 that the twin brothers celebrated their 63rd birthday and snatched title from the previous record holders, Giacomo and Giovanni Battista.

These other conjoined twins were born in Italy, back in 1877, and passed away at the age of 63. The runners-up, Eng and Chang Bunker, were born on May 11, 1811, and passed when 62 years, 8 months, and 6 days old.

Back in July, when they became the second oldest siamese brothers in history, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon threw a block party in the town of Beavercreek in Ohio, US, where they now live.

This past October 28 however, when they turned 63, the twins decided to kick things up a notch and went on a trip to amusement parks across Florida.

Despite having celebrated their landmark birthday quite a while ago, the brothers are yet to be handed the Guinness World Records certificate confirming that they are indeed the oldest conjoined brothers ever.

They did not have an easy childhood

For those who aren't in the mood to do any math today, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon were born in 1951. They arrived into this world fairly healthy, but doctors decided to keep them in the hospital for a couple of years nonetheless.

During this time, they did their best to figure out a way to safely separate them. However, seeing how the twins share the lower digestive tract, the groin area and the rectum, it was eventually decided not to operate on them.

When just 4 years old, the twins started performing at various carnivals and helped support their family. They continued to do so until the age of 39, when they moved in with their younger brother, Jim. The three still share a home.

The twins now lead a fairly normal life

As mentioned, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon now live with their brother Jim in the town of Beavercreek in Ohio, US. Jim's wife, named Mary, lives with them, and by the looks of it, the family gets along just fine.

In fact, it was Jim that took the conjoined twins on a trip to Florida as a way to celebrate their 63rd birthday. “While they could still get out, I said, ‘Guys, let's go ahead and make the trek this year,’” the twins' brother said in an interview, as cited by DM.
