Just when you thought NVIDIA had no more GT200-based graphics cards to show off, the Santa Clara, California-based graphics maker goes and does something like allowing a system builder to put an unannounced card in its latest machine.

Such is the case with a recently unveiled Medion Akoya P7700D desktop computer system, which has been listed with an integrated NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 graphics card. This is one of the biggest surprises inside Medion's latest desktop PC, especially since there are few details on the aforementioned graphics accelerator.

According to previous reports that surfaced earlier this year, NVIDIA's GeForce GT 230 will come as a rebranded version of the company's current GeForce 9600GT graphics card. The card will be designed for the performance market and will most likely be slower than the officially announced GTS 250.

Additionally, the desktop also features an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, 1TB of storage space, a Blu-ray optical drive, 4GB of memory and an 8-channel high-definition surround sound system. Users will be able to take advantage of the built-in HDMI output that has been enabled by NVIDIA's yet unofficial, performance GeForce graphics card. There are a convenient 802.11n Draft Wi-Fi wireless connectivity option, USB, FireWire and eSATA ports for all your connectivity options.

To further sweeten the offer, Medion has included a couple of software applications, in addition to the Windows Home Premium operating system. These applications feature Microsoft Works 9, Office Home and Student Trial Version, Medion Home Cinema Suite (PowerDirector 7, PowerProducer 5, PowerDVD 9 Ultra, Media Show), Corel Draw Essentials 3, Corel Media One, Cyberlink Power2Go 6 and a BullGuard Internet Security Pack.

Ready to provide you with support for all your multimedia requirements, the Medion Akoya P7700 D desktop has been priced at just £599 and is slated to go on sale starting May 31.
