Remember that time 50 Cent threw the first pitch at a baseball game and the entire world laughed because he threw like a girl? Well, American gymnast McKayla Maroney wasn't going to suffer the same fate, so she decided to dazzle the fans in the stands with her own version of the classic pitch.

In a short video posted on her own Instagram account, McKayla shows fans what happens when a gymnast goes in for the pitch. The young athlete stole the show at the Chicago White Sox baseball game on Friday, August 1, when she threw the ceremonial first pitch from the mound.

McKayla managed to throw right in the catcher's glove, something that not many celebrities had managed in the past, and she even offered the crowds a show for their money. The gymnast also did a cartwheel and a flip with the ball in hand, as the crowds cheered her on.

The team's management must have been impressed because they later tweeted on the White Sox's official profile, “One of our more creative pitches from Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney. A very impressive first pitch.”

The worst part is that 50 Cent is going to have to call her up and ask for advice on how to send the ball at the catcher the next time, instead of sending it left field.
