McAfee and Acer have just announced a partnership that will provide the computing company users with a more secure computing experience. Starting with the second quarter of 2008, Acer notebooks and desktop computers will be shipped with McAfee Internet Security Suite with SiteAdvisor. The software bundle comes to furnish Acer users with a ready-to-use product.

Acer is one of the biggest manufacturers of portable and desktop computers. The company already has a very appraised line of portable computers and, with their newly released Aspire Gemstone Blue notebook, it has clearly situated itself amongst the top PC vendors. Among Acer's most significant products, the Ferrari line plays an important part. Partnering with McAfee seems to be the right move for the PC vendor, as this is a great way of improving the quality of their computing products.

McAfee is among the world's leading manufacturers of security products, for both consumer and business users. The company is continuously improving their products, proof of this being a newly released McAfee Secure Search Service. The service is built on the company's successful SiteAdvisor product, which is included in the new partnership.

According to Todd Gebhart, senior vice-president and general manager, McAfee Consumer, Mobile and Small Business, the security company is proud to add Acer to their global partners. The McAfee Internet Security Suite will provide Acer users with a secure online work environment. The security suite will offer a complete set of features, including safeguards against online identity theft and anti-spam protection.

The announcement was made today by McAfee in a press release that also specified the details of the new partnership. This partnership should come as a useful software bundle (whenever it becomes available) to Acer users, as they will now be purchasing a product ready for instant computing action.
