Security company McAfee proudly announces that it has received the Checkmark Premium Anti-Spam Certification, after its antispam technology blocked no less than 98 percent of the spam messages included in the tests. I guess everybody hates spam, as it advertises all kinds of products, such as Viagra, watches, drugs and all kinds of medicines. And like this wouldn't be enough, they attempt to reach the inbox and act just like any other legitimate message, attempting to get read by the user. From this point of view, McAfee's evolution has only been a good thing for all of us, since it proved that users can also stay secure while reading their emails.

"Spam is no longer just a nuisance, and the ability to block it is critical for IT security", said Vimal Solanki, senior director of product marketing, McAfee, Inc. "Spam has become a new way for criminals to solicit individual and company information, and a way to plant Trojans and other malware onto user computers. To fight cybercrime, companies must tackle the spam problem. We're honored to be recognized by West Coast Labs with their highest level of anti-spam certification."

McAfee's antispam solutions are included in numerous products built by the Santa Clara-based company, such as Secure Internet Gateway, Secure Messaging Gateway and McAfee GroupShield.

McAfee has always been one of the top security companies on the web and continues to be one with pretty efficient technologies. In the recent period, McAfee struggled to bring more performance to the users and even started a campaign to get security on the streets and to catch people's attention.
