The Toronto Mayor thinks everyone should cut Justin some slack

Canadians are known to be laid back but Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, is taking laid back to a whole new different level. Following Justin Bieber's recent arrest and subsequent flood of accusations, Mayor Ford has jumped to his defense.

Bieber was just charged with assaulting a limo driver in Washington DC when he made an appearance on a local radio show, and is, at the moment, being investigated in two separate cases: one for egging his neighbor's house and causing significant damage, and another for a DUI charge in Miami last week.

Ford is no stranger to controversy. Back in 2013, he famously admitted to smoking crack cocaine. Now, NME says he's defending his fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, “Well, you know what, he's a young guy. At 19 years old, I wish I was as successful as he was. He's 19 years old, guys. Think back to when you were 19.”

As for being a fan of Bieber's, that's where Ford draws the line. He may be in agreement with all the pop singer's latest antics, but that doesn't mean he goes around town humming the lyrics to Justin's hit song “Baby.”

The mayor confessed he's more of a classic rock fan, jamming to the tunes of Led Zeppelin and the Eagles.

Lately, it seems that Bieber has been getting help and support from the most unlikeliest of sources. Miley Cyrus just stood up for him on the Jay Leno show, advising him to buy a club in his home and party there.

His musical mentor, Usher, flew all the way to Panama where the pop idol was vacationing, and allegedly performed an intervention along with the singer's mother and one of his childhood friends.

At the moment, Justin is still not out of the woods. He faces jail if convicted for DUI and felony vandalism for egging his neighbor's house, but he also faces deportation, since he's not a US citizen.
