14 DAY TRIAL // Rockstar has finally launched the highly-acclaimed Max Payne Mobile game for Android devices. The developers announced the upcoming availability of the title about six months ago, but only the iOS version made it on the market as scheduled.
The Android game has been delayed for more than two weeks due to some last minute testing. However, starting today users can purchase the game if they own a compatible smartphone.
According to Rockstar, the game is supported by the following devices: Motorola RAZR, RAZR MAXX, Motorola Atrix, Motorola Photon, Motorola Droid Bionic, HTC Rezound, HTC One X, HTC One S, HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Droid Incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy R, Sony Xperia Play and Sony Xperia S.
In addition, the new mobile game from Rockstar has been confirmed to run on the following tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, LG Optimus Pad, Medion Lifetab, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 / 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Sony Tablet P, Toshiba Thrive, HTC Flyer and HTC Jetstream.
It is also worth mentioning that Max Payne Mobile has been fully optimized for the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processors with additional antistrophic texture filtering and enhanced lightning effects.
Mobile gamers will be able to experience the same slow motion gunplay specific to the original PC title, which is called Bullet Time. Rockstar notes that the game features sharp, HD quality resolution and textures and highly customizable controls.
Android users will be able to take advantage of multiple aiming modes, some fully compatible with the GameStop Wireless Game Controller and select USB gamepads.
Last but not least, players will be able to unlock cheats, track their stats with full Rockstar Games Social Club integration.
Max Payne Mobile is now available for download for $2.99 USD via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all Android devices listed above.
