Rockstar Games has just revealed some brand new details about the PC version of the upcoming Max Payne 3 title, this time confirming that it will support DirectX 11 technology, while showcasing it through some new screenshots.

Max Payne 3 is coming out this May for platforms like the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, as well as on the PC, although owners of the latter platform will have to wait until the end of the month to get their hands on it.

The wait will be worth it, as Rockstar already revealed that the game will have lots of improvements designed to take advantage of the PC’s better hardware.

Now, after hearing a few details earlier this year, the company has shared a few more pieces of information, confirming that DirectX 11 technology is supported by Max Payne 3 on PC, including special systems like Tessellation.

"This means a higher frame rate, greater visual fidelity, precision mouse and keyboard controls, a full suite of customizable visual and control settings, and optional 3D functionality for an even greater sense of immersion," the publisher said about Max Payne 3’s PC version.

Those with less powerful computers won’t have to worry, as the company also revealed that all of these features are scalable, meaning they’ll run even on older machines.

"We are also aware that not all of our fans are in a position to run Max Payne 3 the highest spec hardware, so we've made sure that the game will run amazingly well through a vast range of hardware configurations."

In order to really present the improved visuals of Max Payne 3, Rockstar has also posted a few new screenshots, showing off the game in action.

Check them out below and get ready for Max Payne 3’s launch for the PC on May 29, in North America, and June 1, in Europe.
