Matt Sandusky, the adoptive son of coach Jerry Sandusky, has asked for a name change. The change would apply to his entire family.

He is asking for a different name for himself, his wife and their four children. He filed the motion on Tuesday, July 16 in Centre County Court in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.

As I mentioned, his father was convicted for child abuse on a staggering 45 counts. The former Penn State assistant football coach is serving a life-in-prison sentence.

The Patriot-News reported that Matt Sandusky was one of his step-father's victims, according to a statement relayed by his lawyer, and Jerry had five other adopted children.

"It's not something that's unheard of, especially when a family member is a perpetrator of the abuse," Christopher Anderson at Male Survivor informs.
