Yesterday the entire comic book community was a teeter after it was announced that the mighty Zack Snyder planned to take on a Justice League movie after he finishes his project “Batman vs Superman.” Today, in related rumor news, it seems that Matt Damon has expressed interest in playing Aquaman in that movie.

Rumors quoted by the Boston Globe have the actor already pinned to the project, as they claimed that he's signed the papers that are going to turn him into the superhero that's most at home in the ocean, kicking it with the fishes.

The rumors do hold some truth to them when you take into consideration the fact that best fried Ben Affleck is already starring in the series, playing Batman. Affleck is known to be playing the masked crusader in “Batman vs Superman” and is believed he'll be reprising his role in “The Justice League.”

The same source that gives Damon as a definite Aquaman also points out that Damon is big on water issues. Ironically, he's the co-founder of Water.org, a non-profit organization that helps developing countries with access to safe drinking water and sanitation.

Maybe he'll be able to sneak some environmental message regarding water conservation and pollution into the movie, from his role as ruler of the seas, Aquaman. At 42, Damon is a bit older than the rest of the cast, but judging on his solid performance as Jason Bourne, the spy, it's safe to assume that he can pull this off with ease.
