Linebreak has released a major new version of its cool Cloud application which uploads files and instantly generates an easy-to-share link. The free app is now more relevant than ever.

Version 2.0 offers native support for OS X Mavericks and Notification Center, and users can now share a link before the upload is complete thanks to “Instant Drops.”

The software sports a brand new design with thumbnail previews for Drops and the ability to scroll back through time and see all Drops. Users can now copy direct links and download links and set a default preference for the behavior they want in the future.

Cloud 2.0 lets you select an image Drop and hit space to see a large preview, rename Drops, and act on multiple Drops at once with actions like copy links, open, and delete. Other new features and tweaks are highlighted below.

• Hotkey to open pop-over: No need to ever let your hands leave the keyboard • AppleScript support • OS X Notification Center support • CloudApp Pro In-App Purchases • OS X Mavericks support • Menubar drop-zone responsiveness • Fixed: Menubar icon overlay in full-screen apps • Fixed: Login and session issues for some accounts

Cloud has very low requirements, but you won’t be able to run it on Snow Leopard (starting with version 2.0) anymore. The minimum OS version is now OS X 10.7.3 Lion.

You can download Cloud 2.0 for free and use it indefinitely with a 25MB daily allowance.

A Pro version is available for purchase within the app. You can choose whether to pay monthly or annually, and there’s a discount if you choose the latter option.

Cloud is extremely useful for people who share files on a regular basis, as it eliminates the need to share the actual file by converting it into a download link.
