BioWare representatives admit multi-platform is an option

Every person who played BioWare's masterpiece, Mass Effect, loved it - even Cooper Lawrence said it is an OK game (probably you still remember the scandal that took place in January between Fox News and Electronic Arts). Moreover, this fantastic RPG was a reason of joy for Xbox 360 fanboys because they were the only ones to get the game.

However, Mass Effect was not an exclusive for Microsoft's console for too long: it has already been released for PC systems and, even though a port of it to the PlayStation 3 (or, God forbid, Wii) would not be a good thing now, it seems that the future looks bright, at least for Sony. According to games blog Joystick, a BioWare representative said that the future titles in the series are not planned as Xbox 360 exclusives.

Earlier this week, there were rumors regarding a declaration from BioWare's CEO Ray Muzyka, who said that the future games in the Mass Effect trilogy (yes, it's going to be a trilogy, in case you didn't know) would be Xbox 360 exclusive. BioWare denied the rumor and one of their representatives said to Joystick that Muzyka "never confirmed any plans of Mass Effect exclusivity for the trilogy". Well, this settles one thing clear and gives hope to all the PlayStation 3 fans who are hoping to experience the great game sometime in the future. Of course, no exclusivity could mean just Xbox 360 and PC, but let's not be bitter.

Mass Effect is the most recent success from BioWare and the two sequels are expected to be at least as good. Also, the company is working on another highly anticipated RPG, Dragon Age, which was initially dubbed as a PC exclusive, but since Electronic Arts purchased BioWare, plans have changed. Could EA be the reason behind Mass Effect's possible port to other consoles?
