14 DAY TRIAL // BioWare has officially detailed the array of celebrations it’s going to run today, November 7, as part of the so-called “N7 Day” in honor of its Mass Effect franchise. These include various contests, swag for fans, as well as in-game goodies like a special N7 Day Loyalty Pack for Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer.
In the Mass Effect universe, the N7 designation is given to the best soldiers in the Human Alliance, chief among which being the protagonist, Commander Shepard.
In order to properly celebrate the franchise, BioWare has designated November 7 as N7 Day and, as it teased earlier this week, it’s organizing a variety of special events and competitions for its millions of fans from all around the world.
First up is a special contest that asks fans to submit their best N7-themed photos for a chance to win big prizes in various categories.
“Show your Mass Effect pride by submitting your photos to our N7 Day photo album,” the studio said on its website.
“To sweeten the deal, you’ll be eligible to win cool Mass Effect prizes for sending in your pictures. We will be giving away custom painted Xbox 360 hardware and nVidia accessories. To submit your photo to our N7 Day photo album and enter the contest all you have to do is send an email to [email protected] and… Include “I want to enter the BioWare N7 Day Contest” in the body of your email. Include what country you live in.
How can your submission win? We will be judging four categories, and awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Besides this special contest, BioWare is also giving away free N7 Day Loyalty Packs to those who log into Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode today, which includes powerful items and one ultra-rare weapon.
Mass Effect fans who also like comic books are in for some special treats as BioWare has partnered with Dark Horse comics to release a special collection called Mass Effect Volume 4: Homeworlds, which includes all the four Homeworlds comics that have been released up until now.
What’s more, today Dark Horse will also unveil a special comic book, based on Blasto the Hanar Spectre, called Blasto: Eternity is Forever.
