The development team at BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have confirmed that they are working on a new Mass Effect: Andromeda title and it seems that there are some core elements of the franchise the two companies do not want to change in any way.

Despite the fact that the series includes a lot of combat and exploration, many gamers were more interested in the characters and the relationship that develops between them, and the concept will be deepened for the coming experience.

Mc Walters, who is the creative director for the coming title, is quoted by GamingBolt as saying that "I think one of the most interesting things for us when we started looking at what we were going to do with Andromeda, was knowing this was going to be a whole new set of characters and a new adventure, and all the great stories we were going to be able to tell because of that and what their journey is going to be like."

At the moment, it's unclear whether there are plans to offer more or fewer companions than in the previous experiences in the franchise.

Details about Mass Effect: Andromeda are relatively limited at the moment, and it seems that the development team at BioWare plans to offer a bigger look at the title during the coming holiday season.

Commander Shepard and his team will not be involved

BioWare is using the name of the coming Mass Effect experience to make it clear that it has no plans to create a connection with the trilogy that featured Commander Shepard and his comrades.

Andromeda will take place in a new galaxy and BioWare will give players more freedom to shape the main character.

The studio is saying that it will expand on all elements of the gameplay and that exploration will be more important, with a Mako system that is being re-designed completely.

The game will also include a new system for interactions between characters and it seems that the dialogue is also becoming more dynamic.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be out on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft at some point in late 2016.
